Narayen Gopal AKA Tragedy King and Swor Samrat was a singer and composer in the Nepali music industry. his full real name was “Narayan Gopal Gurucharya”. he was also popularly known as . he was born on October 4, 1939, in Kathmandu.

He was of Newar family background. He was born and raised in Kilagal Tole. Due to complications of diabetes, he died on December 5, 1990, at the age of 51 in Kathmandu (Bir Hospital). he used to smoke and drink a lot.
